Arizona Program Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Overview: The Arizona Program Coordinator will lead BYTE’s AZ operations, including managing BYTE AZ instructors, student-athlete family relationships, and partner communications & outreach. The role will work closely with BYTE’s MX Program Coordinator, ensuring that all BYTE sites are supported and function consistently. A portion of this role will include hands-on facilitation of BYTE academic curriculums as well as design of content. This individual will represent BYTE in Nogales AZ, including management of current partnerships and development of new opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead BYTE Academic Curriculum at AZ BYTE sites
o Prepare curriculums and necessary materials
o Gather attendance data and requisite session logs
o Oversee AZ programming staff, including academic and tennis
o Design & manage BYTE AZ site calendars and communicate to instruction team
o Interface with student-athlete families and act as point of contact
o Interface with BYTE Executive Director and Mexico Program Director
o Attend and lead team meetings
o Plan major events
o Assist in developing academic content & program strategies
o Ensure BYTE AZ & BYTE MX are functioning cohesively
Manage AZ Partnerships
o Interface with BYTE AZ host sites
o Coordinate scheduling
o Represent BYTE in network outreach (AWN, city officials, new opportunities)
o Manage on the ground integration of new relationships (UA interns, Americorps volunteers, etc.)
o Periodically attend conferences & workshops as BYTE representative
Job Qualifications:
Education
o Undergraduate degree,
o Preferably in public health, business administration, or similar social science field
Experience
o The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of professional work experience in a position that requires autonomy and self-direction
o Experience working/mentoring youth a plus
o Spanish Fluency preferred

o Comfortable networking and dealing with people in diverse settings
o Interested to be a part of a dynamic cross-border team
o Responsible, organized and self-reliant
o Able to give clear direction to a small team
o Able to plan small and medium sized projects and see them through

Position: Assistant Tennis Instructor
Reports to: Executive Director (ED), Tennis Director (TD) & Academic Director (AD)
Job Overview: BYTE assistant instructors will work directly with BYTE student-athletes, primarily on the tennis court. While the role will occasionally require one to help manage groups during off-court instruction, the main objective of BYTE assistant tennis instructors is to support the Tennis Director in implementing official USTA Net Generation curriculums. This will involve preparing and managing materials and directly mentoring BYTE student-athletes. Note: Prior tennis playing experience preferred, although instruction experienced not required. Role will begin with 4-8 hours of training on current junior tennis instruction progressions.

Assist in facilitating BYTE Tennis component at AZ sites
o Prepare materials
o Gather attendance data
o Lead student-athletes through on-court tennis progressions
Communication with ED & AD
o Attend team meetings
o Help plan major events
o Manage consistent email communication with BYTE executive staff
Job Qualifications:
Education
o Current or former elementary or middle school teachers desired
o Undergraduate degree preferred
Experience
o The ideal candidates will have at least 1-2 years of professional work experience in a position that requires autonomy and self-direction
o Experience coaching or working with children a plus
o Basic knowledge and proficiency playing tennis preferred

Position: Assistant Academic Instructor
Reports to: Executive Director (ED) & Academic Director (AD)
Job Overview: BYTE assistant instructors will work directly with BYTE student-athletes, facilitating lesson plans both on and off the tennis court. While the role will occasionally require one to help manage groups during tennis instruction, the primary objective of BYTE assistant instructors is to support the primary academic instructor in implementing BYTE curriculums. This will involve preparing and managing materials and directly mentoring BYTE student-athletes. Note: No prior tennis experience required.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in facilitating BYTE Academic component at AZ sites
o Prepare materials
o Gather attendance data
o Lead student-athletes through activities, both on and off tennis court
o Occasionally design BYTE lesson plan
Communication with ED & AD
o Attend team meetings
o Help plan major events
o Manage consistent email communication with BYTE staff
