BYTE partners with Nogales Arizona Parks & Recreation to offer youth and adult tennis classes at the Anza Park public playground and tennis courts. BYTE successfully spearheaded a facility improvement project in 2018 to resurface the courts, with the support of Nogales municipality and a national USTA Facility Assistance award. The second phase of BYTE’s Anza Park beautification is the commissioning of a 1200 square foot mural covering the entire west wall. The 2-year project will consist of four 30x30 foot mural panels, designed by local professional artists from both sides of the US/Mexico border. Each panel is individually designed and is representative of youth development, sports, regional culture/history, and positive cross-border community exchange. Phase 1 of the Anza Park mural initiative was completed in 2023 through financial support of Nogales City Council and Santa Cruz County. Phase 2 will be completed in 2024 and the result will be the largest public mural in Nogales Arizona.
